Terms of Service

By using PlanPost ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. One account per individual. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

You must be at least 18 years old to use PlanPost. If you are using PlanPost on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company to these terms.

2. Use of the Service

Acceptable Use

You may use PlanPost to generate and manage social media content for your business. You agree to use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and platform terms of service.

Prohibited Content

You must not use PlanPost to generate or distribute:

  • Hate speech, harassment, or content that promotes violence
  • Illegal content or content that promotes illegal activities
  • Sexually explicit content
  • Content that infringes intellectual property rights of third parties
  • Spam, misleading content, or content designed to deceive
  • Content that violates the terms of service of any connected social media platform

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these prohibitions.

3. AI-Generated Content

  • Content generated by PlanPost is created by artificial intelligence and may not always be accurate, appropriate, or suitable for your purposes.
  • You are responsible for reviewing all generated content before publishing. PlanPost does not guarantee content quality, accuracy, factual correctness, or suitability.
  • AI-generated images may not perfectly represent your business. Review all generated images before use.
  • Reference images you upload must be images you own or have a licence to use. You must not upload copyrighted images without authorisation.
  • By uploading reference images, you grant PlanPost permission to process them through AI image generation services to create content for your account.

4. Content Ownership & Intellectual Property

Your Content

  • You retain ownership of reference images you upload.
  • You retain ownership of your business data (company name, sector selection, brand settings).

AI-Generated Content

  • AI-generated content (posts, captions, images) is licensed to you on a non-exclusive basis for use in your business social media.
  • Sector library content is shared across all users in that sector. You do not have exclusive rights to sector library content.
  • On Growth+ tiers where captions are AI-rewritten, the rewritten captions are unique to your account.
  • On Pro/Agency tiers where images are generated from your reference photos, those generated images are unique to your account.

PlanPost Intellectual Property

  • The PlanPost name, logo, and branding are our intellectual property.
  • The sector content library (templates, base prompts, sector configurations) is our intellectual property.
  • The software, AI pipeline, and infrastructure are our intellectual property.

Model Improvement

PlanPost may use anonymised, aggregated content data to improve our AI models and content quality. This does not include your personal data, reference images, or business-identifying information. You may opt out of this by contacting privacy@planpost.app.

5. Subscription Plans & Payments

  • Free tier: Limited features with PlanPost branding on generated content. No payment required.
  • Paid tiers (Starter, Growth, Pro, Agency): Monthly subscription billed via Stripe. Prices are in GBP.
  • Free trial: 14-day trial of the Starter tier. After the trial, your account moves to the Free tier unless you subscribe.
  • Auto-renewal: Paid subscriptions automatically renew each month. You can cancel at any time.
  • Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds: We do not generally offer refunds for partial months. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact hello@planpost.app.
  • Price changes: We may change subscription prices with 30 days notice. Existing subscribers will be notified by email.

6. Fair Use Policy

Each tier has defined content generation limits (posts per week, videos per month). These limits are designed for normal business use. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that consistently exceed their tier limits or show patterns of abuse (e.g., automated bulk content generation for resale).

7. Platform Publishing

When you connect social media accounts and enable auto-posting:

  • You authorise PlanPost to publish content to your connected accounts on your behalf.
  • You are responsible for compliance with each platform's terms of service and content policies.
  • PlanPost is not responsible for content that is rejected, removed, or flagged by social media platforms.
  • You can disconnect any platform at any time. Disconnecting immediately revokes PlanPost's ability to publish to that account.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • AI-generated content will be accurate, appropriate, or suitable
  • Connected platform publishing will always succeed
  • The Service will meet your specific requirements

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlanPost's total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to PlanPost in the 12 months preceding the claim.

PlanPost is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities.

10. Termination

  • By you: You can cancel your subscription and delete your account at any time.
  • By us: We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms, non-payment, or abuse of the Service. We will provide reasonable notice where possible.
  • Data export: Upon termination, you will have 30 days to export your data before it is deleted.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the PlanPost dashboard. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
