Data Deletion

We take your data privacy seriously. You can request deletion of your PlanPost data at any time using the methods below.

1. How to Delete Your Data

Option A: Self-Service (Recommended)

  1. Log in to your PlanPost dashboard at app.planpost.app.
  2. Navigate to Settings.
  3. Click Delete Account.
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Your data will be queued for deletion immediately and fully removed within 30 days.

Option B: Email Request

Send an email to privacy@planpost.app with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Include the email address associated with your PlanPost account.

We will verify your identity and process the request within 30 days.

Option C: Meta Data Deletion Callback

If you connected your Facebook or Instagram account to PlanPost and request data deletion through Facebook (Settings → Apps and Websites → PlanPost → Remove), Meta will send an automated data deletion request to our callback URL. We process these requests automatically.

2. What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

  • Account and profile data — Your name, email address, company name, and all account settings.
  • Reference images — All images you uploaded are removed from our cloud storage (Cloudflare R2).
  • Generated content — All AI-generated posts, images, videos, captions, and content history.
  • Platform connection tokens — All OAuth tokens for connected social media accounts are immediately revoked and deleted.
  • Brand and sector data — All brand configurations, sector selections, and tone settings.

Data Retained After Deletion

  • Billing records — Stripe retains payment records as required by law (tax and accounting obligations). PlanPost does not store your card details.
  • Anonymised analytics — Aggregated, non-identifying usage data may be retained for product improvement.

3. Timeline

  • Self-service deletion: Data queued for deletion immediately. Fully removed within 30 days.
  • Email request: Identity verified within 5 business days. Data fully removed within 30 days of verification.
  • Meta callback: Processed automatically within 24 hours. Fully removed within 30 days.

4. Confirmation

You will receive an email confirmation when your data deletion is complete. If you used self-service deletion, the confirmation is sent to the email address that was associated with your account.

5. Content Already Published

Deleting your PlanPost account does not remove content that has already been published to your social media accounts. To remove published content, you must do so directly through each social media platform.
